Parent involvement is just one of numerous things that make Good Shepherd School such a special environment for our students. Of all the schools in which I have worked, Good Shepherd parents, guardians, and grandparents are by far the most active and engaged—whether that is volunteering for lunch duty, serving on PTO, assisting with coaching, or decorating for special holidays. I have been overwhelmed by the commitment and talent within our school community. Although we never take you for granted, we have come to rely on you! Indeed, it truly takes a village to support our efforts at Good Shepherd School.
Your children and I welcome you be an active member of our school community as a volunteer. A huge thank you to all of the parents, guardians, and grandparents who have already volunteered their time during the early part of this school year. While many of our parents take advantage of multiple opportunities to volunteer, there are other parents we would love get more involved at Good Shepherd. We have tried to set up the volunteer sign up system to be as user friendly as possible. Volunteers may see the entire school year calendar and select days to volunteer that are compatible with your work and other commitments. Volunteering even one day a month is a fulfilling experience for you and an exciting experience for your child. You can view the volunteer schedule here.
While getting the clearances to participate as a volunteer does take some time and patience I promise you will find it worthwhile when you come in to see your child among their classmates thriving at our school. Please contact Helen Kantes at email@example.com if you need assistance attaining clearances.
Again, thank you for all that you already do and in your commitment to Catholic education. Hope to see you around school soon!
