Dr. Stephen M. Fry


Dr. FryDr. Stephen M. Fry was named Principal of Good Shepherd School in summer 2014.

Dr. Fry came to GSS with 17 years of experience as an educator and administrator. He began his education career as a history teacher and coach before moving into administration in 2003.  His most recent experience as a school leader was as Middle School Head and Assistant Head of School at Harrisburg Academy. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in history from Hiram College in Ohio, he completed studies for a master’s in educational leadership from the University of South Carolina and in 2011 earned a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Fry and his wife, Mindi, are the parents of three Good Shepherd students (grades K, 4, and 7).

The States of Matter: First Grade Science



In first grade science, Mrs. Skojec introduced students to the three states of matter. She began the lesson with a discussion of each of the states of matter and the characteristics of each. Students then enjoyed naming examples of each of the different types of matter that they experience in their daily lives.
