Good Shepherd School - Principal Gibson

In the past eight years, I have been a principal in central New York, northern New Jersey, and northern Alabama. Now, through the grace of God, I have come to serve and lead the learning community at Good Shepherd School. I am looking forward to the new school year and being part of your children's education. One of the great things about working in education is that we are constantly reminded of what we have to learn. Everyday there are new ideas and concepts to share and explain. Part of our mission is to help our students experience the joy of learning new things. Their enthusiasm for learning will make them the leaders that tomorrow's world will need.

I taught in a Catholic School for twelve years before I became a principal. I know how important each day in a student's life can be and how the message we speak to children can affect them in years to come. You never know when something you say will become a memory or a life lesson to a student.

God has blessed me with four children of my own. They are grown now and some have children of their own. God has sent many blessings into my life. Sometimes they were not easy to recognize as blessings, but with time His will was revealed. It calls to my mind the phrase that Gabriel spoke to Mary at the Annunciation "Nothing is impossible for God!" [Luke 1:37]
