WELCOME SECOND GRADERS TO MRS. CAPORICCIO’S SECOND GRADE CLASSROOM CORNER!!!

Second Grade is a very busy and exciting year with learning and fun-filled activities! I hope that you will enjoy this year.

Our theme for this year is “Jesus, Our Shepherd… A Special Place For All”. In Religion, we will learn more about our theme, forgiveness, kindness, etc. and prepare and receive Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

There is much that we will be learning and doing in Math: two and three digit addition and subtraction, time, money, graphs, etc.;

In Reading, we will discover new words, practice dictionary skills, and readinteresting stories and books, just to name a few.

In Social Studies, our curriculum includes map skills, directions, states and continents; and in Science, animals, nature, your heart, etc.

It’s going to be a great year!

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots; The other, wings.
